Hardin Simmons University - Golf Camps

Head Coach | Bart CraigHead Coach | Bart Craig

Bart Craig is in his 10th season as the golf coach at Hardin-Simmons.

His best season came in 2018-19 when the Cowgirls won three tournaments in the fall and Luke Smith qualified for the NCAA Championship as an individual.

Smith was named an honorable mention All-American and was selected for the NCAA Championship.

Smith set the single-season and career scoring average mark and set the school Division III record with a six-under 66.

HSU finished the Tommy Hale Short Game Center. The project was a mastermind of Craig and he was able to sell his vision to generous donors that made the facility a reality.

In his tenure, Craig has coached 11 players to 14 all-conference performances.

His teams have also done well in the classroom with numerous academic all-ASC selections. Kara Doege was the ASC Scholar-Athlete medal winner and a distinguished scholar-athlete in 2016.

Doege, Dawson and Guinn were all named NGCA academic scholars. Guinn was named a CoSIDA academic all-district selection.

Both teams have won the American Southwest Conference Sportsmanship award
